Intellia and Vera Therapeutics report earnings and leadership updates
Intellia Therapeutics reported second-quarter earnings that met consensus estimates with an EPS of ($0.80). The company's revenue for the quarter was $7.66 million, a 46.4% decrease year-over-year. Despite the decline in revenue, the company's phase III HALO trial for Lonvo-z showed an 87% reduction in mean monthly HAE attacks compared to a placebo. Intellia expects FDA acceptance of its rolling BLA by the end of the year and aims for a U.S. launch in the first half of 2027. The company reported $628.4 million in cash and marketable securities, providing a runway into at least 2028.
Vera Therapeutics announced equity inducement awards for new leadership. The Board Compensation Committee granted stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs) to new Chief Regulatory Officer Dr. Nancy Bowman. The grants include 63,011 non-qualified stock options and 44,987 RSUs. Additional inducement awards were also granted to two new employees.
