Intellia Therapeutics reports $106.6 million Q2 net loss

Intellia Therapeutics reported a net loss of $106.6 million for the second quarter of 2026, a slight increase from the $101.3 million loss recorded during the same period last year. The company attributed the widening loss to accelerated investments in preparing for the commercial marketing of its gene therapy pipeline.

Collaboration revenues fell significantly to $7.7 million, compared to $14.2 million in the previous year's quarter, missing market expectations of approximately $13 million. Despite this, the company secured its liquidity through a capital increase in April that provided approximately $195 million in net proceeds, ensuring funds are available through 2028. Analysts remain optimistic regarding key projects lonvo-z and nex-z.
