Inter Cars to build 165,000 sqm logistics hub in Katowice

Inter Cars, a major automotive parts distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, is expanding its logistics capabilities through a new build-to-suit facility at Panattoni Park Katowice Airport in Poland. The project, involving the group's logistics operator ILS, will cover approximately 165,000 square meters, including 158,000 square meters of warehouse space and 7,000 square meters of office and social areas.

The new distribution center is designed to consolidate operations currently spread across multiple locations and will serve both Polish and international markets. The facility will feature advanced warehouse automation, including Skypod systems and mezzanines. To support sustainability, the building will be equipped with heat pumps, photovoltaic installations, and energy storage systems.

Construction is scheduled to begin in October, with the handover of the facility planned for the fourth quarter of 2028. The strategic location was chosen due to its proximity to key transport routes, which is expected to increase operational flexibility and efficiency.
