Inter expands digital banking operations into Argentina

Brazilian digital bank Inter has launched operations in Argentina, marking a new phase in its international expansion strategy. The move is being executed through a partnership with the Argentine financial group Bind, which provides the necessary regulatory and operational infrastructure via a banking-as-a-service model.

Through its mobile application, Inter aims to provide Argentine residents with access to international financial markets. Key offerings include a local account and a Global Account that allows users to invest in U.S. assets such as stocks, ETFs, and Treasury bonds. The bank noted that users can begin investing in the United States with a minimum of 5 USD.

This expansion follows Inter's existing presence in Brazil and the United States. CEO João Vitor Menin stated that the goal is to facilitate global financial access through a digital and transparent experience, targeting the demand in Argentina's highly dollarized economy.
