Inter eyes Tottenham defender Romero and English winger Spence in summer transfer push
Italian club Inter is actively scouting Tottenham players Christian Romero and Djed Spence as priority targets for the upcoming transfer window. Romero, a 24‑year‑old Argentine defender, is valued at around €50 million. Inter’s technical staff say the club would approve the move if the price is manageable, noting interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid but emphasizing that the defender fits their defensive project.
Inter is also pursuing 25‑year‑old English right‑winger Djed Spence, who is estimated at €35‑40 million. The club’s director of football, Chivu, has expressed strong personal approval and the team is prepared to increase its budget to secure the player despite competition from Liverpool, Newcastle and Everton. Recent medical setbacks on other targets, such as the halted Khalaili deal, have not deterred Inter, which remains willing to invest to strengthen both defensive and wide‑area options before the season begins.
