Inter lines up Ivan Provedel as backup for new starter Josep Martinez

Italian club Inter Milan has promoted 23‑year‑old Josep Martinez to first‑choice goalkeeper and is negotiating a deal for Lazio’s Ivan Provedel to become his deputy. Inter’s offer is expected to be in the €2‑3 million range, well below Lazio’s initial €5 million asking price. Provedel’s contract with Lazio runs until June 2025, and he has indicated willingness to move to Milan.

Inter is also monitoring Braga’s Czech right‑back Lukas Hornicek, who attracted interest from the club and Premier League teams. Braga set a €30 million release clause, treating Hornicek as a strategic asset ahead of the World Cup.

The club’s transfer activity aims to solidify the goalkeeper position while navigating contract negotiations with both Lazio and Braga.
