Inter Milan activates buy‑back clause for Aleksandar Stankovic Jr
Inter Milan announced that it has exercised the buy‑back clause in Aleksandar Stankovic Jr’s contract with Club Brugge, securing the 2005‑born midfielder on a five‑year deal running from July 2026 to June 2031. The club indicated the player, who recorded nine goals and five assists in 55 appearances for Brugge, is viewed as a valuable asset for its youth sector.
The move follows interest from several Premier League sides, including Newcastle United and Brentford, but Inter’s president Giuseppe Marotta said the final decision on the youngster’s future will depend on assessments by manager Simone Chivu. Inter teammate Federico Dimarco publicly expressed his happiness on social media, commenting that the return of Stankovic feels like “home”.
