Inter Milan announces season schedule and signs John Stones

Inter Milan will open the 2026‑27 Serie A season on 22 August with a home match against newly promoted Monza at 18:30. The club, defending its Italian title under coach Cristian Chivu—who extended his contract to 2028—will also compete in the Champions League and Coppa Italia.

Inter confirmed the signing of English defender John Stones on a two‑year deal. The 32‑year‑old joins manager Manuel Akanji after a decade at Manchester City, where he won six Premier League titles and the Champions League. The squad has already seen the departures of Yann Sommer, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian and Denze Dumfries. Upcoming pre‑season friendlies include games against Manchester City (1 August), AC Milan (5 August) and Juventus (8 August). Matches will be broadcast on Eleven Sports, Canal +, Polsat Sport and streamed via STS TV.
