Inter secures John Stones, targets Curtis Jones ahead of Asian‑Pacific summer tour

Inter Milan completed the free‑transfer signing of England defender John Stones. After passing medical examinations in Milan, Stones signed a contract lasting until June 2028 but will miss the club’s Asian‑Pacific tour, using the time for additional rest.

The club’s summer programme includes a three‑match tour: a friendly against Manchester City in Hong Kong on 1 August, followed by games against Milan and Juventus in Perth on 5 and 8 August respectively.

Beyond Stones, Inter’s sporting director is pursuing further defensive reinforcements. The English midfielder Curtis Jones from Liverpool is a priority for manager Cristian Chivu, while talks with Tottenham Hotspur over Argentine defender Cristian Romero have narrowed, with the price gap reported at around €0.5 million.
