Inter Milan caps transfer spend, targets Brentford winger Michael Kayode

Inter Milan’s management says the club can allocate up to €70 million for a new signing but insists on value for money, avoiding over‑paying for players whose wages are already high. The club has already passed on several targets, including Marco Palestra and Anan Khalaili, due to price or medical concerns.

Inter is now focusing on 19‑year‑old Michael Kayode, a Brentford winger who grew up in Italy. Brentford values him at around €35 million, a price the club deems non‑negotiable. If Inter cannot meet that figure, it will have to consider alternative options.

The strategy reflects a cautious approach by Inter’s owners, including investment firm Oaktree, to ensure sustainable spending while strengthening the squad.
