Inter Milan extends Henrikh Mkhitaryan contract, plans midfield reshuffle

Inter Milan confirmed that 37‑year‑old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will remain with the club for the 2026/27 season. The one‑year extension reduces his current €3.8 million salary but keeps him on the roster under manager Cristian Chivu. The renewal was reported by Gazzetta dello Sport and awaits formal signing.

At the same time, Inter is reviewing its midfield composition. The club has secured Mkhitaryan’s stay, is weighing a possible continuation for Aleksandar Stanković, and is likely to move on from Davide Frattesi. Interest has been expressed in Liverpool’s Curtis Jones, with an initial €20 million offer on the table and a €30 million asking price, while other targets include Manu Koné and Andy Diouf.
