Inter Milan values Stankovic at €40 million, Chivu to decide his future

Inter Milan has internally valued Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Stanković at €40 million following his return from Club Brugge. The club activated a €23 million buy‑back clause and signed him to a five‑year contract (1 July 2026 – 30 June 2031). Inter sold him to Brugge for around €9‑10 million in 2025, meaning a €40 million sale would deliver a rapid return on a net outlay of about €13 million.

Head coach Cristian Chivu holds decisive authority over whether Stanković will be integrated into the first team or transferred this summer. Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal, have reportedly made offers near the €40 million mark, while Atlético Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have also shown interest. Stanković recorded nine goals and five assists in 52 appearances for Brugge last season, supporting Inter’s valuation.

The decision will be taken during pre‑season as Chivu evaluates Stanković’s suitability for the midfield rebuild, potentially influencing Inter’s financial and sporting strategy.
