Inter Milan's pursuit of Moussa Diaby stalls amid competing offers

Inter Milan has been targeting French winger Moussa Diaby, who is under contract with Saudi club Al‑Ittihad. The Italian club offered €18 million plus midfielder Kristjan Asllani, but Al‑Ittihad rejected the deal, insisting on a higher cash sum. Bayer Leverkusen entered the race with a bid close to €30 million, which Al‑Ittihad accepted, leaving Inter without the player.

Technical director Cristian Chivu said the club continues to search for a right‑back who can add quality and experience, emphasizing patience and a clear set of criteria. Inter is also evaluating other options such as Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina and possible internal solutions. The club remains cautious, keeping the transfer window open until early September before committing to any move.
