Inter Milan faces steep price gap in pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones

Inter Milan has confirmed continued interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, but the clubs are far apart on valuation. Director of sport Piero Ausilio said Inter initially approached Liverpool in January and has offered roughly €25 million, while Liverpool insists on about €40 million for a player whose contract runs until June 2027.

Liverpool rejected Inter’s latest bid and maintains the right to set a price they consider fair. The transfer remains difficult, with other Premier League sides, notably Nottingham Forest, also monitoring Jones, though reports suggest he has no intention of joining them. Negotiations are ongoing but no progress has been reported.

Both clubs acknowledge the gap in their assessments, and Inter reiterated that while they admire Jones’s qualities, the financial difference makes the deal “very hard to complete.”
