Inter Milan set to play in Perth as part of Italian football festival

Italian club Inter Milan will make its debut in Australia with two matches at Perth’s Optus Stadium in early August. The first game, against AC Milan, is scheduled for 5 August, followed by a clash with Juventus on 8 August. Club president Beppe Marotta said the tour aims to spread the Inter brand and connect with local fans, describing the Perth visit as a unique opportunity for growth in the Asian‑Pacific market.

The event will be broadcast live on Australia’s Channel 7 and streamed on 7plus, with rights sold to broadcasters in more than 20 countries, including partners such as UOL in Brazil, L’Équipe in France, RTL in Belgium, Qiujing in China and DAZN in Japan. Tickets start at AUD 49.80, with half priced under AUD 100. Former Italian stars Alessandro Del Piero, Christian Vieri and Javier Zanetti are expected to appear at the festival, adding star power to the series of matches that also feature Palermo.

The festival highlights the growing commercial appeal of Italian football in the region and aims to showcase Perth to a global audience of an estimated 500 million viewers.
