Inter finalize €25‑million deal for Israeli right‑back Anan Khalaili

Inter Milan reached an agreement with Belgian club Union Saint‑Gilloise to sign 21‑year‑old Israeli winger Anan Khalaili for a fixed fee of €25 million plus bonuses. The five‑year contract bonds the player at roughly €2.2 million per season, making him the most expensive Israeli footballer ever.

Khalaili arrived in Milan for his mandatory medical examinations, after which the club plans to complete the registration. His father, Majdi, described the negotiations as emotional, noting former interest from Napoli, Atalanta, Newcastle and others, and highlighting Cristian Chivu’s personal role in sealing the deal. The transfer is positioned as a direct replacement for Denzel Dumfries on the right flank.

The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) has requested additional medical tests, temporarily pausing the registration process, but the club remains confident the signing will be finalized soon.
