Inter secures defender Yann Bisseck on new contract until 2031

Inter Milan has reached a verbal agreement and is set to formalise a new long‑term deal with German centre‑back Yann Bisseck, extending his contract from the previous 2029 expiry to 2031 with a salary raise. The 25‑year‑old, signed from Aarhus in 2023 for around €7 million, has become a key figure in Inter’s defence, contributing three goals and two assists in 23 league appearances and helping the club to the 2025/26 Scudetto. The extension, confirmed by club statements and reported by Fabrizio Romano, aims to fend off interest from other European sides, including Premier League clubs and Bayern Munich.

In the same batch of moves, Inter also renewed the contract of 16‑year‑old forward Pio Esposito until 2031, signalling the club’s strategy of locking in its most promising young talents before entering the transfer market. Both extensions underline Inter’s focus on squad stability and long‑term planning under manager Cristi Chivu.

The deals are part of a broader effort by Inter’s hierarchy to protect valuable assets, maintain a competitive roster for domestic and European competitions, and strengthen the club’s financial and sporting outlook.
