Inter Milan nears deal for Tottenham defender Djed Spence
Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur are nearing an agreement for the transfer of English defender Djed Spence. Following a strong performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 26-year-old has become a primary target for Inter to replace Denzel Dumfries.
Negotiations have seen valuations fluctuate, with Tottenham initially seeking figures as high as €45 million. However, reports indicate that a verbal agreement has been reached for a fee of approximately €31.5 million plus bonuses. Spence has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Italian club and is expected to sign a long-term contract lasting until 2031.
While the deal is described as ‘almost done’, final steps including a medical examination are required to complete the move. Inter aims to finalize the acquisition before the start of their Serie A campaign.
