Inter Milan: Qatari fund explores potential investment via Oaktree

A fund linked to the Qatari Al Thani family has reportedly initiated preliminary contacts with Oaktree Capital to explore a potential investment in Inter Milan. While no formal negotiations are currently underway, the interest follows months of various investment inquiries regarding the club.

Oaktree, which took control of the club in 2024, has expressed satisfaction with its investment and does not intend to relinquish control. However, the entry of a minority shareholder could allow the firm to establish a concrete valuation of its stake and monetize a portion of the investment while bringing in new capital for development projects, such as the proposed new stadium in Milan.

The club already maintains commercial ties with Qatar through a partnership with Qatar Airways. Financial reports indicate an improving economic outlook for Inter, with recent revenues reaching 517.7 million euros and a net profit of 22.7 million euros.
