Inter intensify chase for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones
Inter Milan have made Curtis Jones their top midfield target, negotiating with Liverpool who initially set a €30 million price tag. The Italian club has put forward a €20 million offer and hopes a lower price can be secured after Liverpool appointed new manager Andoni Iraola, who does not see Jones as central to his plans. Iraola is reportedly interested in Alex Scott from Bournemouth, a move that could make Liverpool more flexible on Jones.
Inter are also monitoring other midfield options. PSV Eindhoven’s Joey Veerman, aged 27, has attracted interest after posting eight goals and fifteen assists this season, with a valuation between €25‑30 million. Roma’s French midfielder Manu Koné has been linked with clubs such as PSG and Arsenal, though he remains at the Italian side. Sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed that strengthening the midfield remains a priority as the summer window approaches.
The club aims to resolve these deals before the transfer deadline, hoping to secure a versatile midfielder to complement the squad for a title challenge.
