Aleksandar Stankovic signs permanent deal with Inter Milan

Aleksandar Stankovic, the 20‑year‑old Serbian midfielder and son of former Inter star Dejan Stanković, has officially rejoined Inter Milan on a five‑year contract running from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031. Inter exercised a €23 million buy‑back clause to bring him back from Club Brugge, where he helped the Belgian side win the league, made Champions League appearances and was named the Jupiler Pro League’s best young player.

During his season in Belgium he recorded four league goals and two assists in 29 matches, adding two goals and two assists in ten Champions League games. Coach Cristian Chivu, who previously oversaw Stankovic’s development in Inter’s Primavera, praised his growth and confirmed the club does not intend to sell him during the upcoming transfer window. In an interview with Inter TV, Stankovic said, “I started playing football for Inter because my dream was to play at San Siro. It’s an emotion I still have to assimilate.”

The club plans to integrate him gradually, with the player expected to take part in the summer training camp and the pre‑season tour in Hong Kong and Australia.
