Inter Milan targets Carlos Augusto contract renewal

Inter Milan defender Carlos Augusto has demonstrated significant growth, highlighted by a strong performance against Parma where he recorded an assist, two goals, and high statistics in passing and aerial duels. Manager Cristian Chivu praised the Brazilian's physical characteristics, energy, and ability to overlap.

Following recent discussions involving agent Giuseppe Riso, Inter Milan has accelerated negotiations to renew Carlos Augusto's contract. While his current deal runs until 2028, the club aims to reach an agreement to extend his stay and adjust his salary by Christmas.

Analyst Fabio Caressa noted that Chivu is working to implement a more intense, European-style tactical approach, focusing on higher defensive lines and improved ball recovery to remain competitive in the Champions League. This strategy involves increasing the playing time of squad depth to maintain high intensity throughout matches.
