Inter Milan targets Federico Chiesa amid Bergomi's warning to Chivu

Inter Milan is reportedly interested in signing Federico Chiesa from Liverpool. The 28-year-old European champion is a target for the defending Serie A champions as they seek a new right midfielder. While Chiesa is under contract with Liverpool until 2028, his limited playing time under manager Andoni Iraola may facilitate a move.

Additionally, Inter plans to meet with Hakan Calhanoglu’s agent in early October to discuss a contract extension. The 32-year-old midfielder has drawn interest from Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, as well as Juventus.

Separately, former Inter defender Giuseppe Bergomi has issued a warning to coach Cristi Chivu regarding the team's pattern of late comebacks. Bergomi noted that while Inter's tendency to overturn deficits keeps spectators engaged, relying on such dramatic recoveries is a “double-edged sword” that could prove risky in the long term.
