Inter prospect Luka Topalović excels as Serbia U18 miss star defender

Luka Topalović Inter hat‑trick Serbia U‑18 Aleksej Nedeljković injury European U‑18 Championship

Luka Topalović, a 20‑year‑old Slovenian midfielder signed by Inter Milan for just over €1 million, scored a hat‑trick in Inter's 16‑0 friendly win over German side Aasen. He played 45 minutes, showing versatility across midfield positions and drawing attention as a potential senior international for Slovenia, Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Guardian previously listed him among the top global talents born in 2006.

Serbia's U‑18 national team will be without defender Aleksej Nedeljković, who suffered a knee injury in training and was ruled out of the European Championship in Trentini, Italy (July 25‑August 2). Nedeljković, a Red Star Belgrade prospect, had been listed among the 12‑man squad that aims for a medal at the tournament.
