Inter retains Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro after failed buyout

Inter Milan’s option to purchase 2004‑born midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro for €7.5 million fell through due to a bureaucratic snag in the document exchange with the Italian club that held his loan. The player, who spent the season on loan at Dutch side Volendam, returned to Inter after the deal collapsed.

Inter now hopes to secure a higher fee, estimating around €10 million, and has attracted interest from Bundesliga teams Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, as well as Serie A side Bologna. The club will assess any offers while retaining a buy‑back clause on the talent.
