Inter target Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah as transfer talks intensify

Italian club Inter Milan has identified Chelsea centre‑back Trevoh Chalobah as its primary defensive signing. Chalobah is reported to have expressed a desire to join Inter, rejecting offers from clubs such as Como and Crystal Palace. The transfer is complicated by Chelsea’s asking price, cited at €35‑40 million.

Inter is also monitoring alternatives, notably Colombian defender Jhon Lucumí of Bologna, whose €28 million release clause expires on 15 July, and Udinese midfielder Oumar Solet. Juventus have shown interest in Lucumí, adding competition for the Italian side.

Negotiations are expected to resume after the 2026 World Cup, when Chalobah’s international commitments conclude.
