Interactive museums open in Prague and Plzeň

New interactive museum experiences are opening in the Czech Republic. In Prague, the Museum of Senses is located in the baroque Harrach Palace on Jindřišská Street. The museum features approximately fifty interactive exhibits designed to test human senses, including an Ames room for optical illusions, a balance test in a rotating tunnel, and a bed of nails for those wishing to experience sideshow feats.

In Plzeň, a reconstructed building at Klatovská 19 is set to become a modern experiential museum focusing on the history of the 20th century. The project includes the expansion of the Patton Museum and will cover local historical events, such as the 1953 monetary reform. The site also preserves architectural history, including an apartment designed by Adolf Loos, and will house a Sherman tank as part of its interactive exhibition.
