Interamerican acquires Gan Direct's insurance portfolio in Cyprus

Interamerican Group, a member of Achmea, has agreed to acquire the motor and property insurance portfolio of Gan Direct in Cyprus. This strategic move is intended to strengthen Interamerican’s position in the Cypriot market and bolster its presence as a leading insurer through its digital brand, Anytime.

For Gan Direct, the sale marks a transition toward a new phase of development focused on specialization and high-value insurance services. Giorgos Nikolaidis, CEO of Gan Direct Insurance, stated that the agreement allows the company to focus on sectors where they can create greater future value.

Ioannis Kantoros, CEO of Interamerican Group, noted that the acquisition is a significant step in their growth trajectory, reinforcing their role as a regional player in digital insurance. The Anytime brand currently operates in Greece, Cyprus, and Romania.
