InterContinental Hotels Group completes $6.5 million share buyback, cancels 40,000 shares

InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) repurchased 40,000 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange in early July 2026 through Goldman Sachs International. The transactions were carried out on 7 July and 9 July under authority granted by shareholders at the company’s AGM on 8 May 2025. Prices per share ranged from $161.25 to $163.95, with an average price of about $162.43, amounting to roughly $6.5 million.

The bought‑back shares are to be cancelled, reducing the total number of ordinary shares in issue to approximately 148.7 million, excluding about 5.4 million shares held in treasury.
