Interfaith leaders pledge patriotism at Masjid Istiqlal

During a national prayer and remembrance event held at Masjid Istiqlal in Jakarta, several young interfaith leaders and tens of thousands of participants pledged their commitment to the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

The event, organized by PB JATMA ASWAJA, featured a pledge of patriotism led by Buddhist leader Bhante Dhirapunno. Other participating religious figures included Habib Ja'far (Islam), Bli Yan Mitha Djaksana (Hindu), Pastor Steve Marcel S (Christianity), Romo Antonius Suhardi A (Catholicism), and Js Kristan (Confucianism).

The pledge emphasized loyalty to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. Participants also committed to fostering religious moderation, maintaining tolerance, and rejecting all forms of extremism or violence carried out in the name of religion or ideology.
