Interfaith Los Alamos completes annual refugee backpack drive

Interfaith Los Alamos has completed its eighth annual refugee support drive, collecting more than 45 backpacks filled with school supplies, $600 in gift cards, and an additional large box of supplies for refugee students in Albuquerque.

The initiative was organized in response to a last-minute request from Lutheran Family Services, which coordinates refugee resettlement in the New Mexico area. The drive aims to assist students transitioning from UN camps into the local community through various charitable frameworks.
