Interfit expands premium gym network across Brazil's North region

Interfit, a Brazilian fitness chain, is accelerating its expansion after validating its business model through owned units, investors and franchises since late 2023. The company is targeting the North, already operating in Altamira and Barcarena, continuing construction in Rurópolis and preparing a large‑scale gym in Santarém, Pará.

CEO Estevam Neto says the rollout relies on maintaining operational standards, consistent member experience, internal training and performance monitoring, warning that premature franchising can lead to failure. He notes that consumers in the North demand more than a high‑end facility—they expect belonging and daily service.

Industry data shows the fitness sector in Brazil has grown from 22,581 centres in 2015 to 62,718 in 2025, with projections of over 70,000 locations by 2027. The interior of the country, especially states such as Alagoas, Pará, Piauí and Pernambuco, is experiencing the fastest growth, reflecting rising demand for premium fitness services.
