Interior design trends focus on customization and social living

New trends in home design and construction are emphasizing personalization and social connection. One emerging model is the ‘ready-to-decorate’ house, where builders complete the structural work—including insulation, plumbing, electricity, and partitions—but leave interior finishes like flooring, painting, and decor to the owner. This approach offers lower costs per square meter and greater creative freedom.

In terms of lifestyle trends, the Danish concept of ‘Lykke’ is gaining popularity. While the well-known ‘Hygge’ focuses on individual comfort and coziness, ‘Lykke’—which translates to ‘happiness’ in Danish—focuses on creating spaces designed for sharing and conviviality. This involves arranging interiors to encourage social interaction, such as using large corner sofas, lounge chairs, and multiple seating options to transform living areas into spaces for conversation and gathering.
