Interior design trends highlight new wall treatments and balcony flooring

Recent interior design trends highlight diverse approaches to living spaces and outdoor areas. In living room design, Polish architects are utilizing various wall treatments to create character. These include traditional stuccowork paired with modern lighting and bookshelves, large grey sintered stone slabs for media walls, and subtle checkered wallpapers to create cohesive, warm environments.

For outdoor spaces, technological wood is emerging as a significant competitor to traditional ceramic tiles for balconies and terraces. Composed of wood fibers and polymers, this material mimics natural planks and is expected to be a prominent trend for 2027. It offers versatility in color, making it suitable for Scandinavian or Japandi styles when paired with terracotta or concrete elements.
