Interior design trends shift toward warm neutrals and bold red tones

Interior design trends are shifting toward more expressive color palettes, though neutral tones remain foundational. While white and off-white shades continue to be popular for their ability to expand space and provide a sense of calm, there is a growing movement toward warmer tones like cream, beige, and peach.

In kitchen design, the traditional dominance of white, cream, and beige is facing competition from bolder colors. Deep, earthy reds—including wine, burgundy, brick, and oxblood—are becoming prominent. Designers suggest using these intense colors on lower cabinets or islands to anchor the space while maintaining lighter upper sections to prevent the room from feeling overwhelmed. These darker tones pair effectively with natural materials such as wood, stone, and brass to create a sophisticated aesthetic.
