Fashion and design events highlight local talent and new trends

Various fashion and design events are making headlines across Spain, Mexico, and Argentina. In Albacete, Spain, the fifth edition of ‘Zona de Moda’ transformed Plaza del Altozano into an urban runway, showcasing over 100 seasonal looks from seven local businesses to thousands of attendees.

In Mexico, Volvo Fashion Week returns from October 12 to 17, featuring designers and ambassadors Macarena Achaga and Alejandro Speitzer to highlight national talent. Meanwhile, in Spain, designer Mario Lorenzo held his debut high-fashion show in Moaña, and interior designer Tristán Domecq launched his new creative identity, t—domecq Studio+Store, in Madrid.

Interior design trends for 2026-2027 emphasize a shift toward color in Nordic decor, moving away from monochromatic neutrals toward tones like plum, mustard, and moss green. Experts also note a resurgence of vintage pieces, such as antique sideboards and retro lighting, to add character to contemporary spaces.
