Interior Provincial Exhibition celebrates 125th anniversary in Armstrong

The 125th annual Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE) and Stampede commenced on September 2 in Armstrong, despite rainy weather. Attendees have continued to participate in various activities, including rides, rodeos, and agricultural barn visits, using umbrellas and ponchos to navigate the wet conditions.

To commemorate the milestone anniversary, a special exhibit titled ‘IPE Through the Ages’ is being held at the Hassen Arena. Curated by volunteers from the Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum, the exhibit features historical photographs, ribbons, and artifacts spanning the last 125 years of the event.

During the festivities, Constable Dane Storey of the Armstrong-Enderby RCMP participated in the midway attractions, including riding the Super Shot ride.
