Intermarché cyberattack exposes data of 300,000 Drive customers

The French retailer Intermarché confirmed that its Drive online‑shopping service was hit by a cyberattack that gave unauthorized access to personal information of roughly 287,600 customers, close to 300,000 people. The compromised data include names, birth dates, addresses, phone numbers, loyalty‑card numbers and details of online orders. No banking information, passwords, email addresses or loyalty‑point balances were affected.

Intermarché reported the breach to the French data‑protection authority (CNIL) and filed a criminal complaint with the Paris prosecutor’s office. Affected customers were notified by e‑mail and warned to remain vigilant against phishing attempts that could use the stolen data to solicit further personal or financial details.
