Intermountain Health to build new medical campus in West Valley City

Intermountain Health has announced plans to convert the nine-story, 235,000 square-foot Fairbourne Building in downtown West Valley City into a major medical campus. The nonprofit healthcare organization acquired the 8.5-acre site from Wasatch Group to create the Intermountain Health Fairbourne Campus.

The facility is intended to serve as a healthcare hub for West Valley City and west Salt Lake County, providing primary and specialty care services. Planned specialties include oncology, orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology.

Construction is currently underway, with multiple clinics and services expected to open later this year. Additionally, a freestanding emergency department affiliated with Intermountain Health’s LDS Hospital is projected to open in late 2027.
