Internacional coach Pezzolano assumes responsibility for team's form

Internacional coach Paulo Pezzolano has taken full responsibility for the team’s recent struggles in the Brasileirão following a scoreless draw against Atlético-MG. Speaking after the match, Pezzolano expressed confidence in the club's ability to avoid relegation, noting that the team is currently in 16th place with 25 points.

Pezzolano emphasized his commitment to improving the squad's performance, stating, “I want players to be calm. We have a Gre-Nal ahead and I am going to carry the responsibility of evolution on my back.” He also addressed tactical decisions, such as utilizing Juninho as a center-forward in the final minutes of the match to exploit aerial advantages.

The team is now shifting its focus to the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals, where they face rivals Grêmio in a two-legged series. The first leg is scheduled for Thursday, followed by a return match the following week.
