Internacional executive addresses salary delays after relegation zone drop

Following Internacional's 3-2 defeat against Bahia, which dropped the club into the relegation zone of the Brasileirão, football executive Fabinho Soldado addressed the ongoing issue of delayed salary payments. Soldado stated that the financial difficulties are being managed by President Alessandro Barcellos and the finance department, but emphasized that these debts have not impacted the players' commitment or daily performance.

Soldado asserted that the team's recent poor form is a matter of sporting performance rather than financial instability, noting that “it has not hindered and will not hinder” the squad. He called for an immediate reaction from the players and the coaching staff led by Paulo Pezzolano to move the club away from the bottom of the table. The club is currently balancing its focus between the league struggle and an upcoming decisive Copa do Brasil match against Grêmio.
