Internacional offers tractor as guarantee in legal dispute over player commission

Sport Club Internacional has offered a John Deere 5403 tractor, valued at approximately R$ 80,488, as a judicial guarantee to settle a debt in a lawsuit filed by businessman Tiago Silva dos Santos.

The dispute stems from unpaid commissions related to the negotiation of defender Zé Gabriel. While the original agreement in 2019 was for R$ 125,000, a subsequent renegotiation in 2025 set the remaining balance at R$ 85,000. Following a missed payment, the current debt, including interest and inflation adjustments, is calculated at approximately R$ 30,621.56.

Internacional offered the machinery to the 17th Civil Court of Porto Alegre to prevent the freezing of bank accounts while the club contests the debt. The club argues that the final payments were contingent on the businessman issuing the necessary tax invoices, a requirement they claim was not met. However, the creditor has rejected the tractor as a guarantee, requesting that the court proceed with the seizure of cash instead.
