Internacional and Corinthians face critical relegation battle

Internacional and Corinthians face each other in a critical 29th-round match of the Campeonato Brasileiro at the Beira-Rio stadium. Both clubs are struggling near the bottom of the table, making the game a vital battle for survival in the league.

Internacional is making its debut under new coach Eduardo Baptista, who aims to lead the team out of the relegation zone. The squad faces some absences, including defender Maripán and goalkeeper Sergio Rochet due to injury.

Corinthians, currently in 14th place, is attempting to break a six-game losing streak. Coach Fernando Diniz will see the return of several key players, most notably striker Yuri Alberto, who is recovering from a thigh injury, as well as Gabriel Paulista, Matheus Bidu, Hugo Souza, and Matheuzinho.

Security measures are also in focus, as the Brigada Militar has imposed restrictions on certain organized supporter groups of Internacional due to previous incidents, prohibiting the use of large banners or instruments during the high-risk match.
