Internacional: Roberto Melo launches presidential candidacy

Roberto Melo has officially launched his candidacy for the presidency of Sport Club Internacional. During the launch of his campaign, Melo highlighted the support of businessman Delcir Sonda, who recently donated R$ 20 million to the club to settle outstanding debts with players and staff.

Melo noted that Sonda is willing to participate in future movements to assist the club, which is currently facing financial difficulties and a period of instability in the Brazilian Championship. The presidential election will also feature candidates Leonardo Aquino and José Amarante.

Former president Giovanni Luigi, who attended the candidacy homologation ceremony, stated that while he does not intend to join the active management, he remains available to offer his opinion on macro-level issues and consult with whoever assumes the presidency.
