Internacional signs Paraguayan striker Tonny Sanabria until 2029

Internacional has officially signed Paraguayan striker Tonny Sanabria, securing his services until the end of 2029. The move marks the player's first experience in South American football after a career primarily spent in Europe.

Sanabria, a former Barcelona B player, brings extensive experience from Italian clubs including Sassuolo, Roma, Genoa, and Torino, as well as stints at Sporting Gijón and Real Betis. Most recently, he played for Cremonese. He is a veteran of the Paraguayan national team and participated in the last FIFA World Cup.

In his first interview regarding the transfer, Sanabria expressed optimism about joining a competitive league, stating, “It is a very important challenge. Coming here and being able to compete against great teams, great players, in my first experience in South America.”

Sanabria is the fifth reinforcement for Internacional during this second-half transfer window, joining Matheus Cunha, Maripán, Calebe, and Niclas Eliasson. He has already been registered with the CBF and is eligible to debut for the club.
