International apiculture and tourism fairs held in Spain and Chile
Two distinct apiculture events are taking place in Spain and Chile, focusing on industry development, sustainability, and regional tourism.
In Caminomorisco, Spain, the XII International Apiculture and Tourism Fair (APITHUR) is scheduled for November 6–8. The event aims to connect professionals, producers, and visitors in the Las Hurdes region. Technical sessions will address challenges such as the new Common Agricultural Policy (PAC), hive health, and varroa mite control. The program also includes honey tastings, gastronomic activities, and cultural performances.
In Santa Bárbara, Chile, the second API EXPO 2026 has commenced, featuring over 50 stands from beekeepers, academic institutions, and companies. The expo emphasizes technical advancement, pollinator protection, and rural economic strengthening. Inaugurated by local and national authorities, including the Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation, the event includes business rounds, technical exhibitions, and gastronomic demonstrations.
