Latin American book fairs report high attendance and commercial growth

Major book fairs across Latin America have recently concluded or are preparing for new editions, highlighting the region's vibrant publishing industry.

The 15th Feria de Editores in Buenos Aires drew over 40,000 visitors across four days, featuring more than 330 publishing houses from Latin America and Spain. The event included international exchanges and awards for independent publishers.

In Peru, the 30th Lima International Book Fair (FIL Lima) concluded with over 400,000 visitors and an estimated 18 million soles in commercial transactions. Chilean publishers from the Los Ríos region also participated in the Lima fair through a commercial mission to expand their international presence.

In Bolivia, the 30th International Book Fair of La Paz is expected to close with over 100,000 visitors, featuring writers from 19 countries. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the 11th Cajamarca International Book Fair (FELICAJ 2026) to promote local culture and reading.
