Dominican Chocolate Festival celebrates sixth edition in Santo Domingo

The sixth edition of the Dominican Chocolate Festival is being held at Ágora Santo Domingo, featuring more than 18 local chocolate brands. The event includes tastings, cooking shows, and educational activities designed to showcase the various stages of cocoa transformation.

The Dominican Association of Chocolatiers (ADOCHOCO) is using the platform to advocate for the industrialization of national cocoa. The goal is to increase value within the supply chain by exporting finished chocolate products rather than just raw cocoa, which is already internationally recognized for its quality.

The festival is organized by the Dominican Environmental Consortium and the International Trade Center, with funding from the European Union and support from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs (MICM).
