International Clownbaret Festival celebrates 20th anniversary in Canary Islands

The International Clownbaret Festival (FIC) will celebrate its 20th anniversary in the Canary Islands from September 30 to October 25, 2026. The milestone edition will feature 74 performances and activities across 12 different municipalities.

The festival lineup includes 17 national and international companies and artists, such as Peter Shub, Compagnie La Liberté, Paul Morocco, and Peter Ercolano. A central event, the Cabaret FIC XX, is scheduled for October 3 at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna.

In addition to performances, the festival will host a clown and comedy workshop titled ‘Make Them Laugh,’ led by Peter Shub at Espacio La Granja in Santa Cruz de Tenerife from October 6 to 8. The official anniversary poster was designed by María Pulido, an artist recognized for her work on the Goya-winning film ‘Mariposas Negras’.
