International Conference on Carbon Recycling 2026 to be held in Tokyo

The Secretariat of the International Conference on Carbon Recycling (2026) has announced that the eighth edition of the event will be held on October 9, 2026, at The Westin Tokyo. Co-hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the conference serves as an international platform for government, industry, and academic leaders to discuss carbon recycling technologies.

The event will utilize a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation. It aims to share the latest research and development results and commercial cases regarding carbon recycling, which is viewed as a critical technology for achieving carbon neutrality and promoting green transformation (GX) by treating emitted CO2 as a reusable resource.

The agenda includes sessions on the global development landscape of carbon recycling, advanced technologies for building CO2 value chains, and industrial collaboration to drive market development. The conference has been held annually since its inception in 2019.
